Just wanted to apologize for the lack of journal and poll activity lately. You seem to have a very busy founder right now. We are doing our best to get all submissions voted on in a timely manner, and have extended the amount of time the votes will be open on each photo to try and avoid photos expiring. We realize and understand how frustrating it is to have photos expire. We are doing our best to request expire photos into our galleries, however if we have missed yours please send us a note (please do no write it on our wall) or comment on the submission process and we will be happy to look at it and request it or give you feedback if we feel it does not fit in our galleries.

Because I am currently feeling the pressure of work, a photography contest, and a HUGE move journals and polls will be put on hold until I can get settled in our new home early next month. We want to thank you for your patience, and ensure you that submissions will remain open.

To help us with submissions, especially though this busy time, we are inviting members to send us a note if they wish to become a part of our admin team.
why become an admin?

because it's fun!
automatic submission approval!
unlimited submissions!
you get to be part of the action!

what would I have to do?

vote on all submissions
you will be in charge of one folder. This means you will from time to time have to choose a poll photo from it, and once a year go though and tidy it up (move misplaced submissions, remove stored submissions.
take part in conversation, we talk a lot, and we love to hear your opinions
help with contests

So what are you looking for in an admin?

someone who has a good grasp on photography
someone who is friendly and works well with others
someone who likes to help out
someone who is active on DA

Gallery Guidelines

_{Featured: This folder is for the best of Small & Simple No submissions are allowed into it. A weekly poll will be posted for one new submission a week. Any suggestions on what photos get into the poll is welcome just note the group or =SaraJ3an

Animals - Domestic: This is a folder for your friendly pets, this does include farm animals aswell
Animals -Wild: This gallery is for animal shots of wild animals, bird, bears, zoo animals and tamed wild animals. Bug and Insect folders should go in the "animals - insect" folder.
Animals - Insects: Self explanitory, this is a bug haven
Architecture & Landmarks: This is for all photos of architecture (one building, detail shots, ect) and landmarks (including statues, bridges and prominent features in the landscape). City Scape photos will not be accepted here, please submit them to City & Urban
Atmosphere: For photos that display the atmosphere of a location. They may not have a defined subject but should catch the emotion, and feeling of a location.
City & Urban: Any city or urban photo should be submitted here, this includes cityscapes
Food: any photo dealing with food or drink will be accepted to this folder
Flowers: Please only submit photos where the main focus is live flowers (dried, fake, cut flowers are stil life), trees, branches water droplets will not be accepted here.
Landscapes - Waterscapes: Any photo with a primary focus on Landscape or Waterscape should be submitted here.
Love: This folder is for anyphoto that convoys the feeling of love, a little vague I know but use your best judgment.
Macro: All macro shots should be submitted here. To qualify they must have a ratio of 1:1 and have sharp focus.
Nature: Any nature related photos that is not a flower, landscape, or animal. This should be where photos of trees, branches, water droplets should go.
Saying on Photos: This folder is for any photo with sayings, quotes, or motto's. Signatures or watermarks do not count.
Simple People: This is a folder for all your self portraits and DA ID's!!
Sky: for photos that have a direct focus on the sky, sun sets, sun rises, birds or planes in the sky, clouds, ect.
Still Life: Still life only please, flowers shoudl go with flowers, food with food.
Texture: For any photo that can be used as a texture, or has had a texture put on it in post production.}

Sidenotes

_{Any photo that is in storage, that little grey box, will be removed. If you decide to move a photo to storage, please have the courtesy to remove it from the group.
If you have any questions about where a photo should go, feel free to note =SaraJ3an or any of the other admins. We also reserve the right to remove any image that we feel does not fit with the group, or goes against any one of our guidelines, if you have any questions about this feel free to note the group, we'll be happy to review it with you.}
